LDS President's Utah funeral to be televised on 13 January [1]

The funeral of Thomas Spencer Monson, the 16th President and a Prophet of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, who died on 2 January 2018 at his home in Salt Lake City, will be held next week and televised live for 19 LDS Stakes in Tonga.
President Monson (90), became the 16th President of the church on 3 February 2008. He was sustained to the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles on 4 October 1963, and was ordained an Apostle on 10 October 1963 at the age of 36.
A funeral service for President Thomas S. Monson will be held in the Conference Center on Temple Square, Salt Lake City at 12:00 pm on January 12, (USA time).
A spokesperson from the Tonga Stake Office, Elder Tukuafu, said that the funeral service will be televised live and may be watched in 19 of the 21 Stakes throughout Tonga at 8:00am on Saturday 13 January (Tonga time). He said that the two Stakes that don't have the facilities to watch the funeral ceremony live, will receive a copy of the televised service later in the day.
President Monson is survived by a daughter and two sons.
