Two nominations for next PM [1]

A second nomination for the next Prime Minister of Tonga was submitted this afternoon. The name of the nominee will not be revealed until MPs cast their votes, on a date to be announced. 
 
The nomination was submitted by Samiu Vaipulu, the Vava’u People’s Representative for Constituency No. 15.

The Clerk of the Tongan Parliament, Gloria Pole'o said that the date for voting by Members of Parliament, to choose the Prime Minister, will be announced by the Interim Speaker, Lord Tangi tomorrow, 15 December.

Tonga is expected to have a Prime Minister with a new government in office before Christmas. The term of office is four years.
