Man charged with attempted carnal knowledge [1]

A 68-year-old man is detained in custody after being charged with attempted carnal knowledge of a minor, an eight-year-old girl in Ha’apai.

The accused was arrested on October 19. He remains in custody to appear before a Magistrate on December 5, said  Tonga Police.

No other details were released as the case is before the courts.
