Four arrested for drug possession [1]

Four men were arrested last week, after Tonga Police executed search warrants and seized cannabis at separate properties in Tongatapu.

On October 28, a a 24-year-old man from Nukunuku was arrested with 2.87 grams of cannabis in Kolofo’ou.

On the same day at Lapaha, an 18-year-old was arrested with one kilogram of cannabis.

On October 30, a 29-year-old was found to have been in possession of one small packet of cannabis in Malapo.

Oon November 4, a 32-year-old was arrested at Kolofo’ou with 2.49 grams of cannabis, .

All of the accused have each been similarly charged with possession of illicit drugs. They have been released on bail pending court.
