An "election poll" forecasting the leaders in the race for Tonga's General Election on November 16 was not an official release from Tonga's Parliament.
A list of favourites was circulated to news media from a "falealea" email address.
Sione Vikilani from the Legislative Assembly confirmed this afternoon that they had nothing to do with the polling statistics from "falealea2017 @yahoo.com". He believed this anonymous group was just using the word Fale Alea (Parliament) as their name.
The individuals in the group identify themselves only as civil servants, including a person from the Statistics Department.
The group who have released two anonymous polls on October 12 and October 20, favour 'Akilisi Pohiva leading in Constituency no. 1.
