Dame Valerie gives birth to Kimoana [1]

Dame Valerie Adams-Price gave birth to her first child last week, a baby girl Kimoana Josephine Adams-Price. 

Dame Valerie who announced Kimoana’s arrival on Facebook last Tuesday, added the first photo yesterday morning and wrote "At 3 days old, she had her 2 nana's and her papa come in to bathe her for the first time – It was so beautiful to watch them in action and the amount of love and joy expressed was just amazing”.

Earlier this year, Valerie (32) revealed her pregnancy on twitter, stating “we have a shot ready for when you arrive in October little one. Love from your Mum and Dad to be”.

Valerie married her husband Gabriel Price in April 2016, a few months before winning a Silver Medal in Shotput at the 2016 Rio Olympics. Earlier this year she was made the youngest Dame in New Zealand's history.
