Car dealer charged with false pretense [1]

The owner of Super Cheap, a car dealer in Tokomolo has been charged with obtaining money, reportedly $15,400 pa’anga by false pretense from a client.

The complainant, a 38-year-old man from Tofoa had visited the accused and deposited the cash for a car, which was to be delivered in June this year.

Police said the complainant visited the dealer and was told the money was gone.

The accused was arrested and charged.

He had earlier been charged with similar offences on separate case pending trial.
