Halaholo family supports Vaiola fund for new ambulance [1]

A gift of $10,000 pa'anga was donated to Tonga's Vaiola Hospital by the Halaholo Family on July 5 to help the hospital buy a new ambulance.
Two ambulances at the hospital were destroyed by arson last month and have yet to be replaced.
The children and grandchildren of the late Dr Uasi Halaholo, including extended family from overseas and from throughout Tonga were in Nuku‘alofa for a family reunion at their family home, Kau, Kolofo...ou. Yesterday the family gathered at the Tonga National Center for a family dinner and to make the donation.
Tupou Sisilia, the only surviving daughter of the late Dr Uasi and his wife Fifita, presented Hon. Tuita with a $10,000 cheque, which he handed over to the Minister of Health, Hon. Dr Viliami Tangi. Hon. Tuita is the head of the Ulakai family line of Kolomotu...a from whom the Halaholo family is descended.
Hospital equipment was also donated earlier in the week by Nelisa Halaholo Ma‘ake one of Uasi's grandchildren from Washington, USA.
