Chalice and altar wine were among other holy communion supplies that were stolen from the Basilica of St Anthony of Padua in Nuku’alofa, on September 22.

The robbery took place at around 3:35am on September 22 and was reported to police.

The supplies stolen had included one chalice and altar wine, among other supplies valued over $4,000 pa’anga.

The investigation continues but no arrests have been made so far, said a police spokesperson today.
