A 20-year-old man from Longoteme was arrested in relation to robberies of two retail shops in Longoteme.

Police are looking for two other male suspects alleged to have been involved in both cases.

On August 27, a Chinese shop was burglarized at 11:00pm, and $4,900 cash and phone cards worth $200 pa’anga were stolen. 

Another shop owned by a Tongan national was robbed on September 4, at around 1:00am. The thieves are reported to have stolen goods valued at around $4,000 pa’anga.
