Leilani Latu suffers season-ending injury [1]

Mate Ma’a Tonga prop forward, Leilani Latu, has sustained a serious jaw injury and will be unable to compete for the remainder of the 2017 NRL season.
His team, the Penrith Panthers, released an injury update today announcing that Latu had suffered a suffered a broken jaw last Thursday during an NRL game against the Canterbury Bulldogs.
“The 24-year-old will undergo surgery in the coming days and will be out of action for at least 10 weeks.”, the injury update stated.
Earlier this year, Latu helped Tonga defeat Fiji 26 – 24 after scoring a stunning last minute try that saved Tonga from certain defeat.
Latu has played 19 games for the Panthers in 2017. He has run more than 1200 metres, and has made 341 tackles and scored two tries.
