31 arrests for disorderly behaviour after rugby match [1]

Fifty-seven people were arrested and charged with drinking alcohol and being disorderly in public places, last weekend July 7-9, with the most arrested after the rugby match between Tonga’s 'Ikale Tahi and Flying Fijians.
Police said today, 31 people were arrested at the area around Teufaiva Outdoor Stadium on Saturday, July 8 after the rugby match, during operation rugby.
They have been charged with drinking alcohol and disorderly in public places.
In addition, 26 were arrested and charged for the same offences during the police normal Operation Safe Streets held every weekend in Tongatapu to reduce alcohol fuelled crimes.
No road fatalities were reported.
56 people were arrested for these same offences during Operation Safe Streets, the weekend before during Heilala Festival from June 30 to July 1.
