The 26-year-old man who was arrested on 9 June from a bar in Nuku’alofa and charged with possession of methamphetamine is to appear at the Magistrate’s Court on 30 June.

Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said that the accused was in possession of one packet containing 0.9 grams of the illicit drug.

On this Friday night, the accused from Ma'ufanga after being arrested by police was searched as well as his vehicle. Apart from the meth, drugs paraphernalia, electronic devices, 104 air gun bullets and cash were also found in his possession.

Investigation continues.
