Methamphetamine seized in Kolomotu’a [1]

A 27-year-old man was arrested early this morning, 2 June in relation to the seizure of methamphetamine and cannabis at a home in Kolomotu’a.
Acting Chief Superintendent Tevita Vailea said the accused from Fanga has been charged with possession of the illicit drugs.
Police executed a search warrant as part of an on-going drug related investigation. Seized were 43.89 grams of cannabis in 88 small bags and one large bag, and 14 grams of methamphetamine in 28 small bags and six medium bags.
The accused is set to appear at the Fasi Magistrate's Court on Tuesday, June 6.
Vailea said everyone in our communities have a right to be safe and feel safe.
“The community can help stop the availability of illegal drugs by reporting suspicious activity to police. By working together we can make a difference and stop the crime and social harm associated with this illegal activity.”
He asked the public to report any information relating to drug related offending to contact police.
