Policeman charged with armed robbery remains in custody [1]

A police officer (27) charged with armed robbery remains in custody after his case was adjourned to 6 June.
He was arrested and charged with the armed robbery of a shop at Ma’ufanga on Saturday, May 20.
Initially set to appear on Friday, May 26, the accused police officer's case has been adourned at the lower court.
He is charged together with a second man, a 38-year-old from Pahu.
The offence occurred at 7:00pm when a masked man entered the store armed with a knife and threatened the shopkeeper. The offenders allegedly fled the scene with approximately $700 cash.
