Emperor Akihito welcomes Pacific leaders (PALM 2006) [1]

Japan's Emperor Akihito received Pacific leaders including Tonga's Hon. Dr Feleti Sevele, at the Imperial Palace in Tokyo.
Arriving in Japan for the PALM 2006 meeting held in Okinawa May 26-27, Pacific leaders had an audience with the Emperor Akihito on the afternoon of May 25, and met Empress Michiko and Crown Prince Naruhito.
Tonga was represented at the PALM 2006 by the Prime Minister, Dr Feleti Sevele, his press secretary Lopeti Senituli, and his deputy secretary Paula Ma'u. Also accompanying the PM were two officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs 'Amelia Helu and Viliami Malolo. The Prime Minister was accompanied by his wife 'Ainise on the visit.
