Melekiseteki Helu (26) has appeared in court in relation to assaulting his 60-year-old father with a machete earlier in January.

Tonga Police confirmed today the accused appeared at the Fasi Magistrate's Court charged with grievous bodily harm for allegedly assaulted his father with a machete at a home in Fasi, on Saturday January 28.
