A man from Kolofo’ou has been arrested and charged for allegedly stealing $2322 pa'anga worth of office goods from the Church of Jesus Christ of the Latter-day Saints, at Lakepa.

The incident is reported to have taken place at around 6:00am on Tuesday, February 7 when he is alleged to have broken into the church office and stolen mostly office furniture and materials that included a desktop computer and chairs.

Tonga Police said some of the goods were recovered when they arrested the accused at Lakepa.
