Head Prefect dies in New Year's Eve fight [1]

A 28-year-old man from Fungamisi, Vava'u, has been charged with manslaughter for the death of Kelekolio Fahiua (17), on New Year's Eve. 

The accused is alleged to have been involved in a fight with Kelekolio.

Police have not released the name of the accused but have reported that the man from the village of Fungamisi  is being held in custody as a criminal investigation continues. 

The incident occurred at St. Peter Chanel College in Neiafu. The victim, Kelekolio Fahiua from 'Utulangivaka village, was the head prefect of Saint Peter's Chanel College. 

The colleges has been celebrating its Golden Jubilee during the week up to the New Year.
