Police appeal for sightings of man missing with kayak [1]

Fisatina Puafisi

A marine search is currently underway for a missing man Fisatina Puafisi (45), who was last seen on Friday 23 December walking to the Kolomotu'a seafront from Little Italy with a kayak.

Fisatina, who lives in Australia, was staying at the Little Italy Hotel in Kolomotu'a, Nuku'alofa, and had checked in on 22 December. He had taken the kayak from the hotel.

His brother reported him missing to Tonga Police yesterday, 27 December. 

A Search and Rescue boat, Alotolu, is conducting the search. 

Tonga Police are appealing to the public for any information that could help them in finding Fisatina. Police can be contacted at 922 or 25147.
