American died from heart attack on yacht [1]

Stephen Bohne (74) had died from a heart attack when he was found on the deck of his yacht 'Eagle Wings' in Neiafu on Wednesday, December 14, Tonga Police confirmed today.

Police received a medical report from Ngu Hospital on the cause of death of the American citizen.

Bohne who was reported to have been working on his yacht, at a boat yard in Vaipua, was found on the deck and rushed to the local hospital at 6:00pm.

He is expected to be buried at Matafolau cemetery in Neiafu this week.

Bohne had arrived alone in Vava’u on his yacht on 24 November.
