Four charged with murder in machete death at Vaini [1]

Three men and a 16-year-old boy have each been charged with the murder of ‘Aiveni Teisina (36) who died at Vaiola Hospital on Monday October 24 from serious injuries sustained after being allegedly assaulted with a machete, at a solar farm parking lot in Vaini.
 
The accused appeared today at the Fasi Magistrate's Court. The teenager  and a 36-year-old man are from Kolofo’ou, with a 19-year-old and 20-year-old from Nualei, remain detained in custody.

Three were arrested following the incident, while the fourth accused, the 19-year-old, voluntarily surrendered himself later to Police.

The post-mortem of the deceased is expected to be held today at Vaiola Hospital.

The incident is alleged to have taken place early Sunday morning, October 23.
