Man charged with manslaughter of 2-year daughter [1]

A 26-year old man of Tongan heritage, Gustav Otto Sanft, has been charged with manslaughter by a New Zealand court after his two-year old daughter Amokura Daniels-Sanft was found dead with a gunshot wound at their home in the Auckland suburb of Mangere earlier this year June 2.
Gustav is currently on bail and has pleaded not guilty to the charges, which also include the unlawful possession of a pistol as well as possession of a cannabis plant for supply. According to local reports, a three-week trial has been set down for May 2017
Gustav and his partner live with three other children. He is due to appear again in court in November.
