Police Constable suspended after complaint from schoolgirl [1]

A Senior Police Constable (39) was suspended on Monday, 12 September after a complaint was made by an 18-year-old schoolgirl in Nuku’alofa.
Police Commissioner Stephen Caldwell said today this was a serious allegation and bad conduct will not be accepted.
Investigation is underway into the incident surrounding the officer’s alleged serious breach of the Tonga Police Code of Conduct.
He remains suspended without pay until further notice.
