Diplomatic ties for Tonga and Poland [1]

Tonga and Poland have established diplomatic relations in a Joint Communique was signed on 31 August in New York.
HE Mahe’uli’uli Tupouniua, Tonga’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations and Ambassador Boguslaw Winid the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Poland to the UN signed the joint communique, which was effective immediately.
Radio Poland reported that Poland looks forward to the ever closer cooperaton with the Kingdom of Tonga also within the United Nations and among other things the implementation of the new 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, stated the Polish Foreign Ministry.
In the last two-years, Poland established diplomatic relations with Nauru, Kiribati, Micronesia and Tuvalu, island states that are particularly exposed to negative effects of climate change.
