Island resort chef hospitalized after stabbing [1]

A 22-year-old chef is in hospital after he was accidentally stabbed by a fellow chef while they were baking cakes at Fafa Island Resort on Saturday, 13 August.
 
Tonga Police said today their investigation had determined the stabbing was accidental.

The two chefs were baking cakes at the resort during the afternoon. They each had kitchen knives and were playing around with them, which resulted in one being stabbed by the other on his right upper side.

The other chef is a 36-year-old man from Ma’ufanga.

Police said a report from Vaiola Hospital had confirmed that the victim from Hala-'o-Vave is recovering well and should be released today, Wednesday 17 August.
