The sky's the limit for Tongans, especially these three flight crew who found themselves working together on a Virgin Australia flight bound for Tonga from Auckland recently.

All work for Virgin Australia and just happened to be working on the same flight. In the cockpit were Captain Heneli Vete and First Officer Mesi Taufa, and looking after passengers was Flight Attendant Tommy Taufa.

Tommy said “We decided to take this picture together because it’s rare that we get to fly together because there are so many flight attendants and flight crew for Virgin Australia from different backgrounds.”

"It feels that extra special when flying with your fellow brothers and sisters from the Kingdom.”

The trio are all based and reside in Auckland, New Zealand, but hail from various areas on Tongatapu. Heneli Vete is from Fasi, Mesi Taufa from Longolongo, and Tommy Taufa from Ma’ufanga.

The photo has been viewed by thousands on social media and captured the attention of Tongans and Pacific Islanders around the world - an inspiration to young Tongans and Pacific Islanders that the sky's the limit.
