Author, Sione Tu'itahi and Pou. 2016.
A new book in the Tongan language that preserves traditional knowledge about yam growing, titled "Tokanga ko e Mo’ui’anga", was launched by its author Sione Tu’itahi in Auckland, New Zealand.

A former broadcaster and journalist in Tonga, Sione said the book was based on the experience of the late Kiteau Tatafu of Ma’ufanga, one of the well known farmers in Tonga.

“I only found out that yam is one of the fastest food crops to plant after talking with Kiteau. I received a wealth of knowledge from him, therefore this book will be useful to farmers and students, as well as those who value our Tongan traditional knowledge."

He said it was as great that he interviewed Kiteau before he passed away in May last year because this knowledge could have been lost.

Sione has taught at various tertiary educational institutions in New Zealand, among other roles.
