The body of Tessa Marie Horan (24) the US Peace Corps volunteer who died last week after being attacked by a shark in Vava'u, will be flown back home to the United States tomorrow, February 7.

The Tonga Peace Corps Associate Director, David Wyler, said today that a Prayer Service would be held for Tessa tomorrow 3:00pm at the Free Wesleyan Centenary Church in Nuku...’alofa. Following the service there will be a funeral procession to the Fua...’amotu International Airport for Tessa to catch the Air New Zealand flight to the USA.



David said that Tessa'’s body currently lies at the Nuku‘alofa Mortuary after she was flown to Tongatapu from Vava‘u on February 2. Tessa, from New Mexico, was to begin her volunteer work in Tonga today as a teacher at the Tu‘anuku Government Primary School.
