Uini Kava (46) is the man who died after he was allegedly run over by a vehicle while sitting in the middle of By-Pass road in Longolongo early Sunday morning, 8 May.

Police confirmed this afternoon that the 49-year-old accused, who has been released on bail, would appear at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 May.

He has been charged with reckless driving causing death and drunk driving.

The victim died at the scene.
