Lord Tu'iha'ateiho to appear before Magistrate on May 17 [1]

The court case against Lord Tu’iha’ateiho has been adjourned to Tuesday 17 May, Tonga Police confirmed today.

The noble who is charged with assault, unlawful possession of ammunition, killing or maiming an animal, and causing disturbance in Ha’ateiho, was initially expected to appear at the Nuku’alofa Magistrate’s Court today Monday, 9 May. However the case has been adjourned to the new date. 

Lord Tu’iha’ateiho was arrested on Wednesday, 4 May at his home in Ha’ateiho after a search warrant was executed. He was released on bail on Thursday, 5 May.
