Semisi Sika appointed Minister [1]

Hon. Semisi Sika (48) has been appointed as Minister of Infrastructure and Tourism by King Tupou VI, effective on 18 April, on the recommendation of the Prime Minister Hon ‘Akilisi Pohiva.
Sika, of Haveluloto, is the chairman of the Whole House Committee and Tongatapu No. 2 People’s Representative to the Legislative Assembly of Tonga.
He is a graduate of Brigham Young University in Hawaii holding a Bachelor of Science degree in Business/Travel Management.
A former teacher at LDS Liahona High School in Tongatapu; he is also a businessman as well as a member of the Democratic Party of the Friendly Islands and Director of Heilala Festival, President of the Tonga Rugby League and active in other sports and community associations.
