Tonga Police are still searching for Heamani Lopeti (40) who remains at large now a week after his escape on Tuesday, 12 April in Nuku’alofa.

On Friday, police appealed to the public for any sighting of the prisoner after he escaped police custody while at the Magistrate’s Court.

His picture had also been distributed and put up in various establishments in Nuku’alofa asking for details.

The prisoner who is considered dangerous is still serving imprisonment sentences for serious offences, including armed robbery.
