A bizarre Facebook feud between former New Zealand X factor star Ashley Tonga and a Tongan woman living in New Zealand is currently drawing attention from New Zealand media.

The feud came to light after an online video showing an altercation between Ashley and the woman went viral on social media. Ashley allegedly confronted and slapped the woman at the doorstep of her house. Media reports that both have posted numerous insulting videos which have quickly spread on social media.

Ashley is a popular figure within New Zealand’s gay and transgender community. She gained popularity in 2013 for her performance at New Zealand X-Factor, a popular TV show and annual singing competition.
