Post-mortem confirms Ha’apai death [1]

Fenuki Kauvaka (64) died from a heart attack after collapsing in a boat travelling from 'Uiha to Pangai, on the main island of Lifuka, on 18 March.

Police in Nuku’alofa today said that a post mortem held on Saturday, 19 March confirmed the victim died from a heart attack.

The deceased was been sitting at the back of the small boat near the engine. Others saw him collapse and fall into the sea before they pulled him back onto the boat.

He was rushed to Niu'ui Hospital where he was confirmed to have passed away.
