Gas price increases in Tongatapu and Vava'u [1]

The wholesale and retail prices for Liquefied Petroleum Gas in Tongatapu and Vava’u will slightly increase for the first quarter, March to June, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, 16 March.

In Tongatapu, the new retail price for LP gas including consumption tax will increase by 0.06 seniti to a new price of $3.78 per kilogram.

For Vava’u, it increases by 0.14 seniti to a new price of $3.96 per kilogram.

The Competent Authority said the price change is based on the published Saudi Contract Price (Saudi CP) for the LPG cargoes discharged in December last year to January-February this year.

Tongatapu received five cargos with two for Vava’u during this period.
