From Matangi Tonga Magazine, Vol. 16, no. 2, September 2001.

W.S. Waterhouse and his daughter Louise.

The Honorary Consul of the Kingdom of Tonga in Sydney, Louise Raedler-Waterhouse, her father, W.S. Waterhouse, and their assistant, Angelie Mangraviti visited Tonga in July to attend the King’s birthday celebrations and to keep in touch with current events here.

Louise said that Tonga’s Consulate General in Australia was very involved with social activities with a growing Tongan community in Australia. Activities such as the opening of kindergartens, schools, and recently a fund raising event to send a participant to the 2001 Miss Heilala Pageant. Louise said she thoroughly enjoyed working with the Tongan community in Australia, “they are foremost Tongans, who are living in Australia.”
