Cafe Reef, a new coffee and snacks place was opened yesterday in the Nuku'alofa harbour area, by the guest of honour, Hon. Alaileula Tuku'aho.

Café Reef is owned by Konifelenisi Trading, a family owned business of Sunil and Konifelenisi Bansal who also run a restaurant and two take-away fried chicken businesses in Nuku'alofa.

Konifelenisi said that she decided to set up a café because there was none around the docking area near the Tu'imatamoana Fish Market, where small boats for the nearby island resorts also leave from. Café Reef was a new construction in which they had invested many thousands of pa'anga. and they are leasing the property from the Port Authority for the business venture.

Their service is targeted at catering simple ready to eat fare such as sandwiches, muffins, and cakes. "We don't do hot dishes". She personally loves her coffee.
