No decision on new Minister for Tourism [1]

No decision has been made by Government to appoint a new Minister of Tourism following the former Minister ‘Etuate Lavulavu’s exit as a Member of Parliament last week.

The Prime Minister's Press Office today said that Government is currently attending to this matter and "You will be informed once any decisions have been made."

Lavulavu’s lost his seat in Parliament on Friday, 29 January when the Chief Justice declared his election as the Vava’u 16 People’s Representative to Parliament was void, after he was found to have committed bribery and had overspent on his election campaign in 2014.
