Discovery Corporation a new investor in Tonga at the beginning of 2000, is building a new $1 million complex on Nuku’alofa’s main road.

The business includes the Konifelenisi Trading Service Station and a long-line fishing boat, and their new complex at the corner of Taufa ’ahau Rd and ‘Alaivahamama’o Rd.

Malia Poluva’ati the caretaker of the DC operation, said that the complex included a 11,500 sq. ft. area for shops and offices, and a small fish packing facility for Bansal Fisheries. “The office will be for the Discovery Corporation, but the shopping complex with a number of small shops may be leased out to other operators.”

Malia said that the foundation and the structure was built by Advance Steel but the finishing would be carried out by a company from New Zealand and the complex was expected to be completed by the end of April. The major shareholders in Discovery Corporation are Mr and Mrs Sunil Bansal.
