Eleven representatives of travel agents from around the UK. Nuku‘alofa, Tonga. 13 May 2000

Eleven representatives of travel agents from throughout the United Kingdom visited Tonga from May 13-18. They were brought by Air New Zealand under their Pacific Wave 2000 educational program, to familiarise themselves with what the Tongan tourist industry had to offer.

While in Tonga half of the group visited Vava’u and the others visited Ha’apai. They also went to island resorts, beach resorts and historical sites in Tongatapu. Members of the group came from various parts of the United Kingdom, including Bristol, Enfield, London, Bath, Glasgow and Edinburgh.
