Boy hit by vehicle suffers serious injury [1]

A six-year-old boy is reported to be in a stable condition at Vaiola Hospital after sustaining serious injuries when he was hit by a vehicle on Friday, 15 January at Tokomololo. 

Chief Superintendent Tevita Fifita said this afternoon the boy is in a stable condition.

The accident occurred around 6:00pm when it was alleged a van driven by a 70-year-old man hit the boy who is said to have crossed the road suddenly.

"We have charged the driver from Haveuloto with reckless driving causing grievous bodily harm," said Fifita.
