From Matangi Tonga Magazine Vol. 14, no. 4, December 1999.

A Tourism Recognition Award, sponsored by the Tonga Visitors Bureau and the Tonga Tourist Association was presented by Dr. Masaso Paunga on November 12 at the Dateline Hotel to several local businesses in recognition of their contribution to tourism in Tonga.

A number of businesses were presented with the awards, including the tourism magazine ‘Eva, Your Guide to Tonga, for the promotion of tourism in Tonga.

Others receiving the award included, John Sullivan, the General Manager of Royal Beer. The company, which won an Australian Bronze Medal recently for its ‘Ikale 2000 brew, has produced a special Fiefia Beer for the celebration of the Millennium.
