Students taking part in a Food and Beverage Preparation and Customer Service course. International Dateline Hotel, Tonga.

These young people were smiling because they received certificates on November 5 at the completion of a six week course on Food and Beverage Preparation, and Customer Service.

The course was funded under the AusAid Tourism Project in Tonga.

Trainer, Susan Micek, from New Zealand, said that the students did well "to complete in six weeks what would take students in Australia six months to do."

Susan is a former volunteer teacher at ‘Apifo‘ou College.

The course was held at the International Dateline Hotel, with 34 participants from hotels, restaurants, resorts and commercial banks.
