Police are searching for two men who robbed a Chinese shop in Fasi on Saturday night, 9 January, allegedly using an air gun.

Chief Superintendent Tevita Fifita said today the robbers who disguised their faces and wore jackets got away with around $200.

He said it was reported to Police that one man was armed and they believed it was an air gun, which he first shot at the security guard, hitting a milk carton he was holding, outside the shop on Salote Road. They then entered the shop and one of them allegedly shot up to the roof to get the money from the Chinese cashier before fleeing the shop.

No one was injured, but the suspects fled with around $200 pa’anga, said Fifita.
