Parliament adjourns to 2016 [1]

The Legislative Assembly of Tonga has been adjourned to reconvene sometime early next year.

Members of Parliament have been notified of the adjournment to next year, the Parliament Office in Nuku'alofa confirmed today.

In the meantime, the Legislative Assembly’s standing committees are expected to continue meeting and discussing referral matters from the House.
