The University of the South Pacific wishes to strongly advise that its programmes and courses are of the highest quality and widely accredited by international professional bodies.

The two USP programmes that have been referred to by the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts are the Master in Business Administration (MBA) and the Master in Education (by course work). Both programmes are of the highest standard.

We wish to further advise that our Master in Business Administration (MBA) programme is recognised by the Fiji Higher Education Commission and internationally accredited under the Association for MBAs (AMBA) based in London. AMBA is an international, impartial authority on postgraduate business education.   AMBA’s accreditation service [2] is the global standard for MBA, DBA and MBM programmes. AMBA currently accredits programmes at over 200 business schools in more than 70 different countries. This accreditation is an official recognition that USP’s MBA programme is of comparable standard to those offered by other premier business schools around the world. Additionally, the academic staff of the MBA programme hold international qualifications and are qualified.

The University offers two Master in Education programmes. One is by research and the other by coursework. They serve different purposes. Both have been reviewed by an external panel led by Professor Michael Crossley, an internationally renowned Professor of Education from the University of Bristol, UK. The programme referred to by the Ministry of Education, Heritage and Arts (Master of Education by coursework) allows primary and secondary school teachers to choose relevant related courses that are useful for their practice. All staff who teach in the programme have PhD degrees and relevant experience in their specialist areas.
