October breast cancer awareness month [1]

October is breast cancer awareness month and a donation of $1,000 from MBF Bank will go towards funding an awareness campaign that will be launched on Thursday, 1 October in Nuku'alofa.

Hon Frederica Tuita-Filipe President of the Tonga Breast Cancer Society received the donation today from Tevita Akoteu Head of Accounts of the MBf Bank in Nuku'alofa.

Filomena Liutai said the donation will go towards funding a range of breast cancer awareness activities that will be held throughout October including radio and tv programs.

At the presentation was Vice-President Tupou Fakakovikaetau and Secretary Filomena Liutai.
