A 45-year-old man drowned while out fishing off Kolonga, Tongatapu on Tuesday, 21 July. 

Police said today the medical report stated the victim is believed to have suffered an epileptic seizure while fishing.

Family reported to police that the the man had left fishing at around 3pm yesterday afternoon and when he failed to return by nightfall they went out to search for him. They found his body at 9pm.

This is the third drowning death in Tongatapu in just this month. Two friends drowned while swimming at a beach in Veitongo on 11 July.
