The third race of a Fun Run Series by ANZ Bank had more than 350 participants including Crown Prince Tupouto’a ‘Ulukalala on Saturday, 9 May.

Bernie Poort, ANZ Tonga CEO, said it was fantastic to see so many people active with participants taking part in either the 5km walk/run or the 10km challenge.

“It was great to have the support of the Royal Family with the Crown Prince completing his second event with a significantly improved time.”

Race Four of the series will include a 15km run on 6 June for those looking to build up for the Tonga Half Marathon event on 11 July. “The popular 5km challenge will also be held and we hope to attract over 500 participants,” he said.

The community event was made possible through business and community support from Tonga Police, Tonga Red Cross and other business sponsors.
